Ed Koch

 

Edward Irving Koch served as the 105th Mayor of the City of New York from 1978 to 1989. During his tenure as Mayor, Mr. Koch restored fiscal stability to the City of New York, placing the City on GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices). He also created the city's first merit selection system for Criminal and Family Court judges. He is currently a partner in a major law firm, writes a weekly column for The New York Post, and is an adjunct professor at New York University. He also writes movie reviews for New York area papers, and his commentaries for Bloomberg Television can be seen on CNN's Headline News. He is the author of several books including his latest novel, Murder on Broadway.
